Source: WKBN News CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – State Representative Al Cutrona of Canfield is sponsoring a bill to stop a state ban on the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.
There is little evidence that it causes heart problems in otherwise healthy patients taking the drug for a short period, as this is a long term side effect.
In rheumatological conditions hydroxychloroquine has actually been shown to reduce the risk of heart arrhythmias.
