The Brazilian people and the North American people show solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus. Today, as a demonstration of this solidarity, we announce that the US government has delivered two million doses of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to the population of Brazil. The United States will also soon send 1000 fans to Brazil.

HCQ will be used as a prophylactic to help defend nurses, doctors and health professionals in Brazil against the virus. It will also be used to treat infected Brazilians.

In addition, as a continuation of the two countries’ longstanding collaboration on health issues, we are also announcing a joint Brazil-United States research effort, which will include randomized controlled clinical trials. These tests will help with additional assessments of the safety and efficacy of HCQ for both prophylaxis and early treatment of coronavirus.

Moving forward, Brazil and the United States will continue to be closely coordinated in the shared struggle against the coronavirus pandemic and in the ongoing regional response to safeguard public health, further limit the spread of the coronavirus, advance the initial development of a vaccine and save lives. Having President Bolsonaro and President Trump talked twice since March, the two countries are well positioned to continue their joint work in tackling the coronavirus pandemic, as well as other matters of strategic importance.

The general public should be furious at the way people have been treated in the country by suppression of these drugs, by that kind of website that suppresses the ability of doctors to practice medicine.

A Judge Stands up to a Hospital: “Step Aside” and Give a Dying Man Ivermectin

The judge’s finest moment may have been when he dashed the most glaring myth about ivermectin—that it is not safe, despite decades of use that shows otherwise. Noting that all drugs have side effects, Judge Fullerton listed ivermectin’s effects from a government website.
“(N)umber one, generally well tolerated; number two, dizziness; number three, pruritus; number four, nausea/diarrhea. These are the side effects for the dosage that’s being asked to be administered,” he said. “The risks of these side effects are so minimal that Mr. Ng’s current situation outweighs that risk by one-hundredfold.”
